August 24, 2023 - Jakob Ingebrigtsen lost world championships again (!!) to another brit - this time brooksbeasttc Josh Kerr. My thoughts: too much hubris. pride really does lead to a downfall. too much showing off during the heats / semis. and i think it comes down to how much jakob really really wants it as compared to josh - novelty? perhaps? but jakob has never won a world champ title (outdoors, at least) - seems to be the last one of his list. why the difference in hunger? is it a matter of mental tenacity? the way narve nordas closed was also impressive.
also i find narve nordas’ progression impressive - gjert as a coach seems to be playing a more impressive role as a coach rather than a father / coach duality

August 20, 2023 Kristian Blummenfelt pulled away with the fastest run in Singapore: 60’38” for 18km as compared to Ashleigh’s Gentle 70’ (need to check back)
